The COP26 summit brings together world representatives and world leaders to discuss and tackle the increasing issue of climate change.<\/p>\n<p>Climate change is the greatest risk facing us all and it is important that we work together to create positive change.<\/p>\n<h2>The positive impact that online learning has on the environment<\/h2>\n<p>Klik2learn is an online EdTech company bringing innovative digital solutions to learners of English all over the world. Since Klik2learn was incorporated in 2011, it has made a positive impact on the education sector by opening up new opportunities for English language learners.<\/p>\n<p>The COVID-19 pandemic has forced education providers all over the world to move from in- person teaching to online teaching. This shift has highlighted the positive impact that online teaching and learning has on the environment by reducing:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Co2 emissions<br \/>\n<\/strong>Studies show that for every 100 students who adopt online learning, Co2 emissions can be cut by 5-10 tons per semester.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Paper waste<br \/>\n<\/strong>Studies show that paper equates to around 60% of school waste. By learning virtually, paper waste is reduced significantly.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Energy consumption<br \/>\n<\/strong>The COVID-19 pandemic and school closures have highlighted the significant amount of energy that can be saved by adopting distance learning.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Klik2learn\u2019s Digital Learning Hub provides an online digital solution to all of these problems. By learning and teaching online you can help to tackle climate change.<\/p>\n<h3>What do Klik2learn do as a company to tackle climate change?<\/h3>\n<p>Klik2learn helps to tackle climate change in a variety of ways:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Work from home<\/strong> \u2013 Klik2learn has a work from home policy which encourages employees to work from home where possible. By doing this we aim to reduce Co2 emissions from travelling to work and to reduce the energy that would be consumed when working in an office environment.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Cycle to work schem<\/strong>e \u2013 Klik2learn encourages employees to cycle to work when working in person cannot be avoided.
