The British Chamber of Commerce in Myanmar<\/a> have blazed a trail for UK and Myanmar based companies in a world where travel is not currently possible. Learn about Klik2learn’s experience at the Myanmar Trade Mission for Education.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Klik2learn first met CEO, Peter Crowhurst, at the Glasgow Chamber of Commerce and were delighted to be invited to attend the first virtual summit organised with assistance from The Training Gateway, based in the University of York.<\/p>\n

Three days of intensive 1-2-1 meetings from 26th \u2013 29th January between UK and Myanmar companies and universities opened up a wide range connections and interesting conversations with the possibility of partnerships and relationships that will bring mutual benefit. The final event was rounded off by Peter Crowhurst with the opportunity for companies to do a short elevator pitch to all delegates. Breakout rooms enabled more connections to be made informally and for some by now, familiar faces to see each other again.<\/p>\n

While no-one would claim virtual events will permanently replace overseas visits, the British Chamber in Myanmar have shown just what is possible using the technology at our disposal. It was a superb example of how to foster partnerships and international business during a global pandemic.<\/p>\n

The only regret, especially for the Scottish companies present, was that we were not able to join the Chamber of Commerce for their renowned Burns Supper after the event \u2013 one day!<\/p>\n
