Designed for blended learning, the online English course combines self-paced digital learning with tutor tools. It gives learners and tutors the flexibility to fit learning around home or work commitments. Journey 2 English is aligned to the Independent User level of the CEFR.
In addition to supporting Functional Skills qualifications, every learner that completes Journey 2 English, gains certification from City & Guilds and a digital credential that makes their English skills visible online.
Charlie Evans, Digital Product Manager at City & Guilds, said: “We have partnered with Klik2Learn to offer Journey 2 English, a digital course for intermediate learners of English. It is aligned to City & Guilds ESOL Skills for Life (4692) qualification and is available through our SmartScreen platform at a per-learner licencing model.”

Ann Attridge, CEO of Klik2learn, said: “It’s important that learners studying Functional Skills as part of their apprentice programme continue to develop their English skills when visiting a physical classroom isn’t possible.
Journey 2 English helps learners to improve their English with a specific focus on living and working in the UK. It supports them to develop and demonstrate English skills required for real-life work situations whether that’s going for an interview or filling in forms.“
For a limited time, Journey 2 English is available free to support teachers and learners managing remote delivery via the Digital Learning Hub. Learn more about the Digital Learning Hub.
