English Grammar Guide

English Grammar Guide

Every month we look at the additional learning resources on the Digital Learning Hub.

🔦 This month the spotlight is on the Grammar Guide.

The Grammar Guide is a simple guide to the basic types of words which are the building blocks of all languages. Klik2learn’s Grammar Guide is the only reference guide written specially for all levels of English learners. It exemplifies the basic idea that grammar and meaning are inextricably linked.

Why is grammar important for learners?

Let’s look at what Professor David Crystal has to say:

‘It helps to improve a learner’s language abilities. There are four core linguistic domains we need if learners are to reach their full potential as communicating human beings: listening, speaking, reading and writing. And in each of these, it can be shown that grammar has a fundamental role to play.’

In a nutshell: English grammar is not always easy to understand. The grammar guide on the Digital Learning Hub is an easy to use reference guide designed to help you communicate clearly in English. It’s not about learning grammar rules .
