The Scottish Qualifications Authority has endorsed its first ever digital course — a product with its design DNA in Dundee. The online course by Glasgow-based Klik2learn is being sold to colleges, schools and international students. It comes with the prospect of an accredited SQA qualification on completion. Key members of the company’s online course design team are Dundee University graduates Mark Haldane and Katie McPherson.
Klik2learn’s non-executive chairman is Professor Nick Kuenssberg, chairman of Tayport textile producers Scott & Fyfe and one of Scotland’s most distinguished business leaders. He said:
“I believe that this new holistic approach to teaching, and the resulting integrated technology platform, has wide application both in the UK and overseas. “This is genuinely the opening of a new era in online learning.”
Dr Janet Brown, SQA chief executive, said:
“Klik2learn Ltd has demonstrated a clear desire to reach out to learners around the world by producing engaging online learning and assessment resources.”
